Prepaid electricity meters

Prepaid electricity is supplied and the payment gateway is facilitated through the Easypay network which is available through the major retail shops, banking network, ATM as well as cell phone purchases. A STS token is issued upon purchase and unique to the meter to reload credit for the customer.

Rapid Prepaid collects the revenue from the residents and pay this amount over to the HOA, body corporate or managing agent. The total consumption is balanced to the main utility (Eskom/municipality) to ensure that all consumed electricity is accounted for.

Pricing

Meter prices range from R700 to R1200 for single phase prepaid meters. Communal meters are available for both single and 3 phase supply for monitoring purposes.

Prepaid water meters

Prepaid water meters uses the same secure payment method (STS) as the electricity meters. These meters also log the consumption and usage reports are provided. Leak detection are immediately reported as readings are monitored in 30 minute intervals.

The same revenue collection procedure is used as per electricity ensuring a transparent and accountable solution.

Management reports are generated to show purchase details per transaction and meter. 

Pricing

Prepaid water meters prices range start from R2500 per unit.

For monitoring with automated reading readings only, hardware costs R450 per unit. A data collector can collect up to 500 meter readings and is available on our management servers.
